The Middle Ages were a time when most of Europe was ravaged by the brutal plague of ignorance. Much of the knowledge accumulated by the Greeks and Romans was scattered to the winds as a result of Rome’s moral decay and ongoing wars with neighboring European tribes.

To make matters worst, Roman Emperor Justinian, whose empire covered much of Europe and North Africa, abolished the so-called “mystery schools” of Kemet (Egypt) in the 6th century C.E. These universities of Ma’atematics (the science behind the maintenance of cosmic order) as I will call them, were major catalysts in the development of the more substantial aspects of Greco-Roman culture. In these schools Black Africans cultivated their souls through the integrated study and practice of art, science, mathematics, and spirituality. The wise Kemetic priests were holistic thinkers who believed that none could be fully understood without knowledge of the others. In his 1928 occult masterpiece, The Secret Teachings of All Ages, Freemasonic historian Manly P. Hall says that initiates who attended these institutions of higher learning “entered it’s portals as men” and “came forth as gods.” According to Yosef Ben Jochannan, one of the preeminent scholars on ancient Kemetic history and culture, the students attending these schools fit into one of three categories.

The Mortals: Students on probation under instruction, who had not yet achieved experience into the inner vision.


The Intelligences: Students who had attained the inner vision and also received “mind” or “intellect”

The Creators or The Sons of Light: Students who became a part of the spiritual consciousness.

The African Sons of Light were the models, the standard bearers, for the European Illuminati that the Roman Catholic Church was so hell bent on destroying since the Renaissance (13th -17th century) and Enlightenment (18th century) periods. The movie Angels & Demonsdidnt tell the whole story, but then again, it wasn’t supposed too. The European Illuminati was despised by the dominant white power structure of medieval Europe—the Roman Catholic Church—for the same reason that white people who absorb and pattern their lives after the cultural values of Eastern cultures are today: they are constant reminders of just how bankrupt and hollow European culture is when compared to that which people of color have to offer. Any culture where men feel that their net worth is solely based on the material items they posses is an empty one void of any real intrinsic value.

Justinian and other Roman Christian emperors viewed African universities of Ma’atemetics as a threat to their new state religion. These emperors wanted their loyal and faithful subjects to look outwards to them for spiritual guidance instead of looking within. However, the abolition of Kemetic knowledge backfired on them. By the time the 8th century C.E. rolled around, Europe was in its Dark Ages. It was a period characterized by minimal accomplishment in the arts and sciences. However, with the spread of Islam throughout the Middle East and Africa beginning in the 7th century C.E., a powerful new empire was on the horizon. As the religion swept across the globe, Muslims coming out of Northwest Africa (primarily Morocco) invaded Spain in 711. Lead by general Gebel Al-Tarik, they entered through the Pillars of Hercules, now named The Straits of Gibraltar after the African general. Armed with the B.I.B.L.E (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth), the K.O.R.A.N. (Knowledge of Order Rhythm Astronomy and Nature), and swords, these fearless warriors trampled King Roderick and his ignoble band of Visigoths under their feet and took control of Spain.

Following the historic confrontation the sons of Atlas ruled over Spain for almost 800 years, producing the finest civilization in Europe at the time. They were known as “Moors”(Blacks). The Moorish Empire covered Spain, Italy, and parts of France and Ireland. In the Spanish city of Cordova where they resided, the Moors created paved roads that were well lit for night-time pedestrians. Volumes of books flooded the city’s market places. Universities such as Oxford began to pop-up throughout Europe during the 12th and 13th centuries when Moorish lands provided Europeans with their main centers of learning. This should not be surprising in light of the Moors’ intellectual accomplishments. Most of Europe’s advancements in medicine between the 8th and 15th centuries were made by Moorish men and women.


The Moors also traveled the globe sharing and searching for the mystical knowledge that laid the foundation for early civil society. For well-over 1,000 years there has been a spurious version of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church’s Book of Enoch in Russia. Although the Russian Secrets of Enoch is believed to be a forgery, its compilers clearly had foreknowledge of the original Ethiopian book. Most likely, they obtained this knowledge from Moorish book traders.

The Moorish man was the prototypical “renaissance man.” In fact, Spain and Italy, which had the strongest Moorish presence, were first to rise during the European Renaissance. The Moors were most responsible for this. Spain’s Christian King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella booted them out of the country during the bloody Crusades in 1492. However, they were smart enough to hold on to the vast repository of knowledge and information that the Moors had accumulated. They made sure to use it to their own advantage. The very idea that Christopher Columbus accidentally sailed to the Americas after getting lost on his way to India, is absurd. The Spaniard’s chief navigator was a Christian Moor by the name of Pedro Alonso Nino. The Moors, who were legendary sea navigators, had detailed maps that showed exactly how to reach the Americas. This is because they were making trips here at least 2,000 years before Columbus was born. For evidence of their presence in ancient America checkout the Olmec stone-heads in LaVenta, Mexico.

As far as the origin of the term ‘Moor’ is concerned, there are many theories. Perhaps the most illuminating was proposed by Cambridge University Professor, Frank Snowden. He traced it to ‘Mauri,’ a term that some of Europe’s classical writers used to refer to Black Africans. Interestingly, ‘Mari’ was the name of an ancient kingdom in the Middle East under the dominion of Phoenicia. Phoenicia, which is today known as Lebanon, was also known for producing great sea navigators. In the 12th century B.C.E, these Phoenicians setup colonies in Carthage and Morocco. Ironically, Morocco is where most of the Moors came from. Could there be a cultural link between the Moors and the ancient Phoenicians? It is not only plausible, but probable.

Contrary to popular belief, Muslim Moors did not simply murder those who did not
accept Islam as many white Jews and Christians lived alongside them in Spain. As a matter of fact many of the Moors themselves were Jews and Christians. In a series of documentaries produced by The History Channel called The History of Christianity, it is acknowledged that some Catholic priests traveled to Spain to receive theological tutelage—in Catholicism—from Moorish scholars. Protestantism rose to prominence after the Moors showed and proved to white Catholic priests that their popes were spreading false Christian teachings such as the selling of indulgences. The popes and their underlings were actually telling the public that they could commit any sin they wanted and still make it to heaven as long as they paid for their spot.

Under Moorish protection, white Jewish intellectuals and occultists were allowed to study subjects that were forbidden by the catholic church. The Jewish Kaballah, a spiritual system based on the ancient Kemetic Paut Neteru (The Tree of God), was conceived under these favorable conditions in 13th century Spain.

In her book Isis Unveiled Vol. 2, 19th century occultist Helena P. Blavatsky says that the Moors were “profoundly versed” in the esoteric spiritual sciences. “Nowhere, during the Middle Ages, were the arts of magic and sorcery more practiced by the clergy than in Spain and Portugal,” says the purported Russian mystic. “The Moors were profoundly versed in the occult sciences, and at Toledo, Seville, and Salamanca, were once upon a time, the great schools of magic.” With this in mind, it would not be a leap of the imagination to propose that the Moors were the true authors of the Kabala in its present orientation.

The fact that white European Jews were kicked out of Spain in the same year that the Moors were is by no means a coincidence. The church was working towards complete political and economic control of Europe so that it could consolidate its forces to plunder the earth and steal the wealth of indigenous people. The Moors presented the church with its greatest challenge in achieving that goal. Not only did they have an expansive intelligentsia, but a military presence that could challenge the Holy Roman Empire. The Knights Templar were put to death because they were working as spies on behalf of the Black Moors. In the eyes of the pope, this was tantamount to serving the devil. I strongly suggest you checkout Bobby Hemmitt’s lectures on the Baphomet goat head for any elaboration on that particular point.


When the Moors invaded Spain they did not bring any women with them, so there was a great deal of race-mixing under their rule. Many Spaniards and Italians—particularly Sicilians—have Moorish blood coursing through their veins. The same holds true for many of Europe’s royal families. I have seen some of their coats-of-arms myself, and they depict Black men and women of high esteem. Maybe this is why those royal families are referred to as the Black Nobility.

As Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Ivan Van Sertima, and other mind-terrorists who have fought the scourge of white supremacy have pointed out, Black history is not just about the struggle for civil rights, slavery, apartheid and despair. It is also about laying your mack down and putting your smack down. More importantly, it is about being at the forefront of civilization on a global scale. Don’t take my word for it. It is important to keep in mind that when the movie 2010 was released in 1984, the Soviet Union and the United States were the two most powerful nations on the planet. Within the framework of the Hegelian Dialectic, they represented (outwardly) the opposing philosophical polarities that powered Western Civilization during that era (Capitalism vs. Socialism, Democracy vs. Communism). The two Super Powers were often divided along political and economic lines which served as the basis for the manufactured Cold War following World War 2. Nevertheless, here they are joining forces for the common good of Mankind in the movie.

Eventually, the fate of the crew members, as well as the fate of Western Civilization, is dependent on a restored computer intelligence (an artificial intelligence) known as H.A.L 9000. In the movie 2001, this computer was onboard Discovery which was dispatched into outer space to study Jupiter, King of the Gods. However, upon approaching Europa—a Jupiter moon named after an ancient Phoenician (ancient Moorish) princess—H. A.L is shut down by the black monolith orbiting Jupiter.

Throughout the film The Black Monolith is depicted as a mysterious Dark Matter intelligence presiding over the spiritual evolution of Mankind. This is Freemasonic Theater Sorcery. The only people who possess the melanin needed to unlock the vault containing the secret treasures of Dark Energy is Hue-Manity (Isaiah 45:3). Albeit, the evolution of the soul is certainly possible for select members of Mankind, most of them do not have the umbilical tie to Dark Matter which would make such a quantum leap, for them, highly improbable. The overwhelming majority can only silver surf through waves of delusion, pontificating on the inheritance of an imminent golden age from which they are alchemically barred. In the film, the computer H.A.L is restored by its original creator, a computer scientist onboard the Leo-nov named Chandler, who happens to be a professor at The University of Chicago.

While it is true that art imitates life, sometimes life imitates art. How ironic is it that in the real world of 2010, the future of Western Civilization rests in the hands of another man who was also a professor at The University of Chicago: President Barack Hu-ssein Obama. Western civilization—and by that I mean civilization in its truest sense—began with a Black man, an Olmec man. So who else but a Black man can keep Western Civilization alive? In his book,Obama: The Postmodern Coup, author Webster Griffin Tarpley paints a rather interesting picture of President Obama and explains why the president was much more favored on Wall Street than his 2008 election rival, senator John McCain. Tarpley says:

“The most immediate issue for the City of London and for Wall Street is to maintain Anglo American world domination in the face of numerous challenges…..With Bush-Cheney or McCain they have only a very limited chance of achieving this. An Obama presidency, by contrast, would give Anglo American imperialism a breathing spell, a second wind, a facelift, and a new lease on life. If Obama were not available the elitist bankers would have had to invent him……When an imperialist system faces an array of crises like the one which is presently enveloping the Anglo-American world system, even the short-term survival of that imperfection will tend to require forms of totalitarian mobilization which are exceedingly difficult to implement by means of a top-down coercion alone, and which are much more efficient if they can be based on the voluntary assent and willing or even enthusiastic mobilization of the masses.”

Much like the ancient Kemetic god Hu, President Barack Hu-ssein Obama has demonstrated a power over the spoken word which would be needed if he chooses to mobilize the masses towards the Killuminazi agenda. Tarpley is right in saying that if Obama was not introduced to carry out the agenda of the white ruling elite, they would have to prop up someone just else like him. The fact that they had to choose a Black man to ritualistically initiate their insidious agenda for the world only illustrates the lucid fact that the Killuminazi is running on fumes. This is not their time because they no longer have the twelve archons of Olympus behind them. They need the original man to bring the magic that they need to the table. Their playing a dangerous Game that they are only destined to lose. Their story is written in the stars and they are too powerless to erase it. Mankind’s mockery of Western Civilization has left numerous scars on Hue-manity’s soul since the coming of Christopher Come-Bust-Us, to the shores of Ta-Meri Ka. Liquid swords couldn’t quench his insatiable thirst for theft and violence. Now that legacy which he errected is toppling upon his children as they face an endless tidal wave of cosmic retribution.

In the movie 2010, the Black Monolith turns Jupiter into a second sun and our solar system becomes a binary star system which ushers in an age of peace and prosperity on planet Earth. The Hopi Native Americans prophesized that when there are two suns in the sky (the second one is called The Blue Star Kachina) Humanity and the planet Earth will make the transition from 3rd density to the 5th (the 4th is merely a transition point between the 3rd and 5th) where time as we know it will no longer exist. As you think of something it will appear before you. This transition will signal the end of the Great Purification of planet Earth which we are witnessing with all of the madness going on across the globe.

From a purely Kemetic standpoint, the transformation of Jupiter into a second sun corresponds to Tehuti (Jupiter) restoring the left eye of Heru after it was wounded by Set in the legendary battle for the rulership of Kemet. Your left eye is controlled by the right hemisphere of your brain which is what Tehuti will actually restore. The restoration of Heru’s left eye is merely an EFFECT of his right-brain activity. Through Judaism, Islam and Christianity, the god Set, Lord of Chaos, wounded the Heru that lives in you by making you believe that magic was evil and that you could only achieve spiritual salvation by bowing down to Yahweh, Jesus and Allah. The right hemisphere of your brain gives you access to your imagination. Your imagination is that aspect of your mind which deals with creative visualization. Creative visualization is most necessary for the practice of effective ceremonial magic, which must, and will be, the new frontier as we inherent the sparkling treasures of eternity.The year is 2010 and Humanity is beginning to make contact with the Lost Realm from whence it came. The period between May 1 and October 31, marks the Jupiter Transit of 2010. This will be a critical period for us all. Call it the impending resurrection of the Jaguar People. World renowned British astrophysicist, Steven Hawking, made news headlines across the globe last month when he warned of the danger in scientists attempting to make contact with extraterrestrial intelligence. On his Discovery Channel television program, Into the Universe with Steven Hawking, he said:

“If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn’t turn out well for the Native Americans…I imagine they might exist in massive ships… having used up all the resources from the planet below…Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they could reach. If so, it makes sense for them to exploit each new planet for materials to build more spaceships so they could move on…Reaching out to the stars with our messages of curiosity and peace may only make it easier for an advanced alien mining operation to stake a claim on Earth. First contact would be a much better proposition if we can wait until we are on more equal terms.”

As anyone with a basic knowledge of world history can see, Steven Hawking is projecting the inherent imperialist nature of his Western European brethren onto extraterrestrial beings. Hawkings’ stance regarding extraterrestrials is quite understandable. I mean, if I was a member of a racial or ethnic group that has been practicing genocide on a global scale for the last 500 years, I might be a little worried about people of color from another planet (extraterrestrials are usually referred to as “green men” in popular culture, while UFO fanatics are always yapping about “grey” aliens) invading my planet and kicking my ass too. Dr. Muhammad Shamsaddin raises some interesting points in response to Hawkings in his article entitled “Stephen Hawking, the Foolish Wise, the Extraterrestrials and Today’s Criminal Elites’ Main Fear.”

I just got done watching the movie 2010: The Year We Make Contact(1984) and it brought me back to Steven Hawkings’ April comments. Unbeknownst to him, the aliens that he fears have actually been walking the planet Earth for countless centuries. I am talking about the Black Man and the Black Woman. The year 2010 will prove to be the year in which those expatriates from Amenta who are vibrating on a higher frequency than the general population will begin to make contact with their home world and spiral out of this Galaxy Game. Call it the long-awaited, highly anticipated, Return of the Great Immortals. Hawking is concerned with aliens coming to Earth, but a more likely scenario would be the aliens leaving Earth to make their way back home.

The movie 2010 is the sequel to the classic American film 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). As anyone 21 years and older knows, the year 2001 was a critical one in global affairs. It saw the World Conference on Racism, the proposition of the National Economic Stabilization and Recovery Act (NESARA) and the September 11 attacks. The film 2010 is about a crew of Russian and America astronauts who take a voyage to Jupiter aboard a spaceship called the Leonov to checkup on Discovery, the original spacecraft sent out to orbit Jupiter in the movie 2001. The “Leonov” spacecraft should be seen as the “Leo-nov”. Leo is the zodiac sign always associated with the planet Jupiter. As of May 16 2010, the president of the United States is Barack Obama who is a Leo.

The movie 2010 was distributed by Metro Goldwyn Mayer, and it is worth noting that the subtitle “The Year We Make Contact” that appears on the cover of the DVD case does not appear in the actual movie introduction. This clearly suggests that the subtitle was added sometime AFTER the film hit the movie theaters in 1984.

Throughout the film you can see a black, rectangular structure floating around Jupiter which is constantly referred to as “The Monolith” or “The Black Giant.” Once you finally see this monolith for yourself you realize that it is actually an Obsidian Mirror, also called a Black Mirror.

Black Mirrors were used by the Aztec shamans of ancient Mesoamerica for the purposes of ritual magic and oracle divination. In Aztec mythology, these mirrors were used by the Aztec god, Tezcatlipoca, the god of Kingship. Keep the concept of kingship in mind as we explore the metaphysical significance of Jupiter. The English translation for the god Tezcatlipoca’s name literally means “Smoking Mirror.” This is where the white man gets the phrase “this is all smoke and mirrors” from. He uses this figure of speech when he is referring to something that he believes is an illusion, because in HIS reality, magic without the assistance of man-made technology IS an illusion.

The ancient Greeks practiced classical magic, true, but they were initially taught by Black women. The Oracle of Dodona, the oldest in Europe, was introduced by Black priestesses according to the first Greek historian, Herodotus. Magical knowledge did not spread through Europe through some natural evolution in consciousness. It was imported there by the Kemau, Kushites and much later, the Moors (Kemau, Kemoors, Moors!). This partially explains why magic is, for the most part, laughed at and ridiculed in all western societies today (hence you have white men calling poor economic policies and practices “voodoo economics”) save for a few renegade individuals. It’s disrespected because the practice of magic is foreign to Europeans. ALL magical knowledge originated with people of color. Jealous authors would like to object, but they’re just too wrong to write. On this point, arguing with me is fruitless. The truth is too strong to fight. In the movie 2010, the Black Mirror, which belongs to Tezcatlipoca in the Aztec culture, is seen floating around Jupiter.

The planet Jupiter, which was known in ancient Vedic astrology as “Guru,” is the only planet in our solar system that gives off more light than it actually receives from the sun. Thirteen hundred times bigger than planet Earth, Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. The word “Guru” means “remover of darkness” in Indian Sanskrit, and that is precisely what a Gang of Stars are, removers of darkness. As a master teacher, a guru figuratively gives off more light (knowledge) to his pupils than he receives. In the world of numerology Jupiter is always associated with the number 3, which also happens to be the numerological value for the year 2010 (2+0+1+0 = 3). In ancient Roman mythology Jupiter is known as “King of the Gods.” In ancient Greece he was known as Zeus. In Kemet (mistakenly called Egypt) he was known as Tehuti, the sacred oracle and scribe of the gods. 

The formal English translation for Teotihuacan is “City of the Gods.” However, as I’ve just explained, the gods being referred to were “the first people,” the first scribes, oracles and orators of The Lost Word on American soil. These gods were the Black Olmecs. Now, if you doubt that there are any cultural or ancestral ties between the ancient Kemites and the people of modern day West Africa, you should consider the fact that the ancient Kemites called the god commonly referred to as Osiris “Ausar.”

In the book Esotericism in the Popul Vuh, author Raphael Girard states that the prefix “Tamo” means “Falcon” or “bird of prey.” The Aztec hieroglyph for “Tamoanchan” is a falcon drawing blood from a serpent. The aztec god of wisdom and writing, Quetzacoatl, is always depicted with a helmet bearing a falcon. But get this: the ruling elite of the Akan nation is known as The Falcon Clan!!! As I explained in my Mind Glow Media blog “When the Sky Falls: The Real Story Behind the Anunnaki Pt. 1 of 2” the Anu were an ancient people who lived in Nubia/Kush. Cheikh Anta Diop talks about the Anu in his classic workThe African Origin of Civilization: Myth or Reality. It is my theory that “Tamoanchan” translates to mean “The Land of the Eternal Falcon Clan, Children of Anu.” In Sumer, which the Bible states was a colony of Kush, the Children of Anu were known as the Anunnaki.

The animal sacred to the Aztec god Tezcatlipoca was the jaguar. This is because the god Tezcatlipoca was nothing more than an emblematic representation of the Jaguar People, who are better known to attentive students of ancient Mesoamerican history as, you guessed it, the Olmecs.

The Olmecs, who were already an ancient people by the time the Aztecs entered the pages of history, are the Black progenitors of Mesoamerican civilization. The so-called “Mayan calendar of 2012” that everyone is talking about in the New Age community was actually introduced by the Olmecs around 3100 B.C.E. This was approximately the year that Dynastic Egypt, which ushered in the age of the pharaohs, began as King Narmer of Upper Egypt conquered his rival the Scorpion King of the north. In an excellent reference book entitled The Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible, it is pointed out that there are Kemetic temple depictions of the gods Tehuti and Hu on a solar boat driving back the forces of darkness. Given the fact that the sun appears to rise in the east and set in the west to human eyes, my bet is that this solar boat is heading west to ancient Mexico to found the Olmec civilization.

All of the Ethiopian Emperors of the Solomonic Dynasty were priests of Ausar. This is why they built churches underground, as Ausar is the Lord of the Underworld. Their Ethiopian churches are HIS domain. The Ethiopian Orthodox Christians worship Jesus Christ, but its priests in the know worship Ausar. This makes sense since ancient Ethiopian priests told the Greek historian Diodorus that Ausar was a colonizer from their land. 


This is what I was referring to in part one of this series when I made reference to esoteric spiritual systems and their exoteric fronts. There are teachings that are given to the masses and others that are reserved for the few at the top of the pyramid. This elitist approach to the dissemination of information was introduced during the Age of Severity, when people had to undergo intense initiation rituals before they could even speak on affairs of the spirit with authority. This is a clear indication of how far man had fallen. 


We think that the Solomonic emperors from Menelik I to Selassie I were all Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, but that was all a front as they had to follow the script for the Piscean Age that was given to them by Ptah, who created Ausar along with eight other immortals according to the Men Nefer (Memphite) cosmology. 


It is my personal opinion that Wu-Tang front man The RZA was at the very least aware of the Kemetic creation story when he introduced the nine rap gods known as the Wu-Tang Clan to the world. The group’s first album was Enter the 36 Chambers. If you have nine men who all have heart then there are 36 chambers among them since one heart has four chambers (9x4=36). According to Men Nefer cosmology, Ptah created the universe with his heart and his tongue.

All of the Ethiopian emperors of the Solomonic Dynasty got golden Ptah-Sokar statues because they played their roles as Ras Ptah had directed them to. The Oscar award was named after Ptah-Sokar. “Oscar” is an anagram for “Sokar.” Truth be told, we’re all decked in our best threads with our gold Sokar statues already in hand. These statues are our reward for playing the respective roles that we were supposed to play in carrying out God’s Divine Plan. 

Since our minds are rooted in this artificial Chronos-Logical timeline we divide the eternal moment into the past, present and future when everything that ever happened, or ever will happen, is taking place RIGHT NOW as you read this. You’ve already won your Sokar award. Now, it’s just a matter of living your movie to see how your personal story pans out.

When we saw that proud Black king in his royal vestments, the image reminded us of everything that we knew deep down that we were, but Western society had tried to convince us that we were not, and that’s Royalty.

However once you come to the understanding that you are the power of the Holy Trinity, you will no longer feel the need to worship Selassie, Master Farrad Muhammad, or any other human being. Everything of lasting importance in this universe begins and ends with you. You are the Messiah, the Mahdi, the Maitreya, The One prophesized to return to break the seventh seal on the Book of Life. 

In its exoteric interpretation, the Rastafarian movement revolves around the worship of Haile Selassie I, the former emperor of Ethiopia. In its esoteric interpretation, it is completely rooted in post-enlightenment self-deification. 

However, we are talking about the deification of your Higher Self and not the human ego which tells me that I am a gifted writer named Adika Butler, or tells you that you’re a wizard because you obtain information through Mind Glow Media that relatively few people on the planet are privy to. For all we know, I may just be regurgitating everything that YOU taught ME when I sat at YOUR feet in a past lifetime so that you would re-member the 14 pieces of Ausar within you in this one. 

This brand of spirituality is a natural progression for all responsible members of the human race. There isn’t going to be a man descending from heaven on a cloud who is going to save you from some pending apocalypse. You have to take responsibility for yourself, and the effect will reverberate outward to the larger society. The best way to make a better world is to mold a more beautiful you. 

This is what I’ve been doing for the last 13 years and the people who are close to me will tell you that they have benefited immensely from my efforts. Considering my potential to attain even higher standards of greatness, I still have a LONG, LONG way to go. But then again, if I didn’t, I would really be wasting my time living the life of a human on planet Earth. Your Higher Self is that part of you that is completely detached from all of the trappings and complications of the ego. 

Once you’ve made it through the Tuat and enter the abode of the Rasta, Ra’s star will rise and shine between your two eyes. Ausar, adorned in white linen and wearing the white crown with the plumed feathers, will slowly rise from his lofty throne bearing the crook and flail in acknowledgment of your presence. 

As you ascend the steps that lead to his throne—which are nothing less than the higher densities of existence—you will stand before him toe-to-toe, face-to-face. Knowing all of the trials and tribulations that you went through over the course of your many incarnations to find yourself, Ausar will look at you in his mirror with a teary-eyed smile and say: mission accomplished god…

According to the consensus history of the Rastafarian movement, the Pan African crusade was launched in the mid 1920s by Leonard Percival Howell, Robert Hinds, Archibald Dunkley, Robert Athylyi Rogers and Joseph Nathaniel Hibbert. 

These men—along with a few others, it is said, laid the ideological foundation for what became the Rastafarian movement. Once its fundamental teachings were disseminated to the Jamaican population, the Caribbean island was set ablaze with the consuming fires of messianic intrigue. 

However, what has rarely been understood throughout human history is that most spiritual systems have both an exoteric and an esoteric dimension to them. The exoteric interpretation is given to the masses who want nothing more than simple guidelines that will assist them in managing their lives like responsible adults. 

Thus abstaining from theft, robbery, lying and murder are all universal teachings in dogmatic world religions, which are actually the exoteric interpretations of far more esoteric spiritual sciences. The evolution of these sciences, which are generally unknown to the larger population, are rooted in a highly distinguished history which also remains a mystery to that population. 

In this six part series, I will explore the occult history, the secret history, of the Rastafarian movement. If you are one of those individuals who thinks that the Mysteries of Rastafari revolve around Bob Marley, Haile Selassie I, and ganja-smoking Black male hippies who love white women, then you are guaranteed to learn some things that will challenge much of what you thought you knew. 

What is perhaps most encouraging—or devastating, depending on what side of the fence you are on—is the fact that much of what I am about to share with you can be confirmed through simple research. And by research, I am talking about reading BOOKS and talking to people in the know, not watching nine-minute YouTube video clips from documentaries filled with the same old superficial information that you’ve already heard before. 


Reading enables us to become more familiar with words and how they can be effectively used. The Golem of Austria, Adolf Hitler, got one thing right when he said that “words build bridges into unexplored regions,” and what regions are less explored than those that belong to the human mind? The answer is simple. There are none.


Reading activates parts of your brain that are critical for higher thought, insight, and understanding. The very exercise of reading affords you The Promised Key which eventually allows you to unlock the door leading to greater knowledge that cannot be found in any book written by a mortal man. Hopefully, I will be able to summon the will and the skill to show and prove this to you through this abridged editorial offering.


First I will engage you in a brief overview of Rastafari. I will do my best to avoid using the term “Rastafarianism” since Rastas generally prefer to disassociate themselves from the “ISMS” and schISMS that typify Western culture (i.e. capitalism, socialism, communism etc). 

Since his more recent appearance on planet Earth, by way of the island of Jamaica, the Rastaman has taught that the Black man is the original man and that Blacks across the Diaspora are God’s chosen people who will one day return to the continent of Africa after the Final Judgement of Western civilization. Rastas also teach that the white man—or more specifically—the Roman Catholic Church, is the architect of the evil “Babylonian” system that is customarily designed to lead the Black man, as well as the rest of the human race, astray. 


Although The Holy Piby and The Royal Parchment Scroll of Black Supremacy are important texts in the contemporary Rastafarian library, its central text in this day and time is the Holy Bible. The oldest biblical patriarch with an authentic book attributed to him is, Enoch, and the fact that the Book of Enoch is Ethiopian says a lot about Ethiopia’s role in laying the foundation for the Judeo-Christian tradition.

While Rastas revere the prophets of the Bible, the great Marcus Mossiah Garvey (August 17, 1887 – June 10, 1940), who is widely regarded as the father of Black Nationalism, is considered to be a modern John the Baptist who heralded the coming of a Black Messiah from Africa. Many Rastas say that Garvey prophesized the coming of Ethiopian Emperor, Haile Selassie I when he said “look to Africa for the crowning of a Black king; he shall be the redeemer.” 

However, as legend has become history, it is often forgotten that Garvey was actually one of Selassie’s most vocal critics during World War II. The year was 1937, and Garvey was angered by how the Emperor, who in the previous year was voted Time Magazine’s Man of the Year, had handled the Italian invasion of Ethiopia by leaving the country. 

In 1937 Garvey wrote an article entitled “The Failure of Haile Selassie as Emperor,” which he published in the March/April 1937 edition of The Black Man, a magazine he founded in London, England. In that article Garvey said that “Haile Selassie is just an ordinary man like any other human being.” Nevertheless, many Rastas believe that the Messiah that Garvey spoke of was revealed in the personage of the emperor who was originally named, Ras Tafari Makonnen. In Ethiopia, the name “Ras” means “Head” while “Tafari” means “Creator” thus Rastafarians are followers of the “Head Creator,” who is God. But was Ras Tafari Makonnen God? If you do not know the answer yet, then you most certainly will once you are done reading this series. 


In 1930—the same year that the German Nazi party rose to prominence—King Ras Tafari was crowned Emperor of Ethiopia on November 2 and renamed Haile Selassie I which means “Power of the Holy Trinity” in Ge’ez, an ancient Ethiopian language used in religious ritual practice. Selassie also took on the title “King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah,” which is the same appellation used for Jesus Christ in the Bible. It almost goes without saying that many Jamaican Christians viewed Selassie’s coronation as the fulfillment of biblical prophesy (Revelation 19:11-16). 
What further augmented Selassie’s messianic appeal among these Jamaicans was the fact that Ethiopia was the only African country that was never fully colonized by a European power. Even when the Italian fascist Benito Mussolini invaded Ethiopia with the Pope’s blessings in 1935, his forces never secured the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa. 

In addition to Ethiopia’s distinction of independence, its emperor claimed direct lineage to the Solomonic Dynasty of King Solomon and Queen Makeda of Sheba in the Bible. Ethiopia, Selassie’s homeland, has long been considered the home of the biblical Ark of the Covenant which the Bible says was designed by the prophet Moses and his priests during the ancient Hebrews trek through the Sinai peninsula. In Pierre Van Passen’s book, Days of our Years (1939), the Dutch journalist recounts seeing the Ark of the Covenant for himself during his visit to meet Selassie while World War II was still raging on. 

Rasta’s abstain from alcohol and often prefer to eat vegetarian dishes that they call “Ital” food. Selassie’s birthday is acknowledged by Rastas through the “Nyabinghi” celebration in which Rastas gather in a natural environment to sing, dance, eat, and tell stories about the history of Rastafari from late at night until the early morning. These gatherings usually take place before a huge bonfire. I used to attend this celebration as a young child raised in a Rastafarian household in New York.

Among Rastas, the element of fire is symbolic of the spiritual purification of man which is essentially an alchemical process. The word “Alchemy” was introduced into the English lexicon by the Moors. Al Chemy literally means “The Chemistry” in Arabic and among the Moors who lived in Europe during the Middle Ages, fire (adversity) was regarded as the main catalyst behind the transmutation of the base lead of the soul into solid gold. Lead is the metal associated with the Kemetic god, Ptah, and according to Nicholas Melchior, who was the astrologer to the King of Hungry in the 16th century, the Ethiopian Man, the Black Man, is most qualified man to undergo the process of spiritual alchemy. 


In Melchior’s description of an alchemical mass, which you can find inMan, Myth & Magic: The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Mythology Religion and the Unknown, he describes a man undergoing an alchemical transformation in an alchemist’s flask. At the end of this trial, Melchoir says, will appear “the mighty Ethiopian, burned, calcined, bleached—altogether dead and lifeless. He asks to be burned, to be sprinkled with his own moisture and calcined till he shall arise in glowing form from fierce fire…Behold, a wondrous restoration and renewal of the Ethiopian!”

These are prophetic words, because aren’t we seeing “lifeless,” “bleached” Black people in these days and times? Look at Sammy Sosa or the Jamaican dancehall deejay, Vybz Kartel, who has formally admitted to bleaching his skin. Although the future may look bleak, the sons and daughters of Ptah, the Moors, the Rastas will inevitably find proper direction through alchemical introspection.

Rastas are usually recognized by their roped hair often referred to as “dreadlocks.” However to call this hairstyle “dreadlocks” was regarded as an insult to early Rastas because it was intended to be a reference to what Jamaica’s white owned media considered to be the Rastaman’s “dreadful” appearance. The white-owned media cast an evil spell over most Jamaicans who shunned the early Rastas for embracing the cultural legacy of the Jamaican Maroons. 

In India the Sadhus who dedicate themselves to the worship of the god Shiva wear their hair in dreadlocks and smoke copious amounts of ganja, which they regard as a religious sacrament necessary to achieve moksha (spiritual liberation). Somewhere in the akashas, the Bush Doctor Peter Tosh is reading Mind Glow Media and smiling. The word “Ganja” is named after the “Ganges River” in India where herb grew in abundance. In his book 100 Amazing Facts About the Negro, Jamaican scholar Joel Augustus Rogers says that this river was named after an Ethiopian King named Ganges who colonized India in ancient times. Jamaica, and to a much greater extent, Trinidad, was seeded with indentured servants from India during the 1800s, so many Indian religious customs such as Diwali (the Festival of Lights) are still observed in the West Indies and Guyana. 

Interestingly enough, India was a part of the Cusha Dwipa, the Ethiopian empire in ancient times. This is why many people from India look Ethiopian with their piercing doe-shaped eyes and almost aquiline noses. The Ethiopian word for “kings” is “Nagast,” while the “Nagas” of India were known as the serpents of wisdom. Howell, one of the early patriarchs of Rastafari in its current orientation, was well aware of the ethno-cultural connection between India and Ethiopia. In fact, he was known to many of his early followers as Gyangunguru Maragh, which means “Kingly Teacher of Wisdom” in Hindu. 

I feel that it’s important to point out that not every Black person you see with dreadlocks is a Rasta and not every Rasta wears their hair in dreadlocks. Milli Vanilli were not Rastas and neither is Howard Stern’s lackey, Robin Quivers. Leonard Howell, who is most credited with the birth of Rastafari in Jamaica, did not have any locks. At least not in the photos of him that are available. Although Selassie did wear dreadlocks as a youth, he wore his hair in an afro in his adult years. 

If you think about it, Selassie was probably the first man in modern history to proudly rock an afro, which is a halo, or could it be that the halo is really an afro? I’ll let you decide. Rastamen were called “Blackheart Men” in Jamaica because they extolled the virtues of African spirituality and culture, although for many of them, the two were amalgamated into the Judeo-Christian tradition. The “Blackheart Man” reference is significant since the color black was most sacred to the Kemetic god Ptah. Ptah’s sacred stone is onyx.
